Salman Khan, who has given watches worth as much as Rs 50 crore to his friends and family, has found a method of beating his expensive gifting habit.

On his mother’s advice, he has asked his charity foundation Being Human to manufacture inhouse designer watches.

And the first proud recipient of the Being Human designer-watch was actor Aseem Merchant, Salman’s co-star in Boney Kapoor’s Wanted.

Apart from the watch, Aseem also received a Being Human shirt from Salman.

“He made me strip in front of him and try on the shirt. I really don’t want to talk about his generous nature. But I’ve been shooting with him for a year and Salman’s generosity is unbelievable,”  Aseem said.

Salman also gifted Aseem a role in his brother Arbaaz Khan’s first production which will star Salman and Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi, to be directed by Abhinav Kashyap.

Salman Khan, who is known for his generosity, was approached by some sweeper women during the shooting of Wanted and they asked him to buy saris for all the women working there!

According to Source “Salman was sitting in front of his van chatting with friends at Film City when a couple of sweeper women came up to him and started talking to him. They started demanding new saris from him. He joked and said it wasn’t Diwali or Eid so there was no reason for him to buy saris for them. But they started crying and pleading with him.”

The actor then asked the group how many women were working in Film City. They said, about 35. He called his spot boy, gave him a wad of cash from his pocket and asked him to take his car and go out and buy saris for all the women. His boy came back with bundle of saris and distributed them to the thrilled women.”

Salman was so impressed with Aamir’s marketing and promotion techniques that he wants to promote his forthcoming film Wanted: Dead or Alive in a similar manner.

According to Sources, “Salman liked the way Aamir went about promoting Ghajini. Salman was particularly impressed with the multiplex staffers sporting the Ghajini hair-cut. He told producer Boney Kapoor that he was open to discussions with the creative team, so as to make the promotions as unique as possible.”

To be on par with Shah Rukh Khan’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Aamir Khan’s Ghajini last year Salman was available for the media like never before for Yuvraaj.
