If you want to know more about Salman Khan, you got to watch his show 10 Ka Dum. Farah Khan, who is known for her closeness to Shahrukh Khan, came to the show and made Salman blush for embarrassing her about 20 years ago.

Choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan says that Bollywood star Salman Khan had left her red-faced when he took her along for the auditions of his super-hit 1989 film Maine Pyar Kiya.

Farah recalled the incident when she came on the reality show Dus Ka Dum 2, which is being hosted by Salman.

“He (Salman) took me along so that I could show him a few steps to do before director Sooraj Barjatya. But when Salman did the steps, it was so appalling that I simply picked up by footwear, hailed a cab and took off home,” said Farah on the show.

It looks like Salman Khan’s finally going to get the chance to show his full acting credentials in the epic Veer, which it transpires is based on Gogol’s classic Taras Bulba.

According to source, “He discussed the idea with his director-friends and eventually asked Anil Sharma to make Taras Bulba into a Hindi film with Mithun Chakraborty as the patriarch and Salman and Sohail Khan as his two brave sons.”

Gogol’s book tells the story of a 16th century Cossack warlord in the Ukraine, whose two educated sons rejoin him in the east and they set out to defeat their Polish masters. One of the sons has a warrior spirit like his father but the other is more sensitive and has fallen in love with a Polish noblewoman whilst away studying. They go to war and end up besieging a Polish city. The sensitive son, Andriy, learns that his beloved Polish girl is inside the city and is starving from the siege. He brings her bread and forsakes his family and people to join her…

Salman plays a warrior in the film. In fact, his bronzed and beefed-up look in the film indeed makes him look like a true desi gladiator.

A lot of attention has been given in designing Salman’s look for the film. While he does sport long hair, special care has been taken to make him look like an Indian warrior. For instance, the huge ethnic necklace is an integral part of Salman’s character’s look in the film.

Apart from Salman and Lisa, Veer also stars Mithun Chakraborty (as Salman’s father) and Jackie Shroff (in a negative role) in pivotal roles. Besides India, Veer has also been majorly shot in London. The film stars a host of British actors, as is evident from the costumes on display.

Number of times Salman Khan might hinted that he wanted to end up rivalry with Shahrukh Khan and wished to have him on his show but finally he has turned his words into deeds by signing Yash Raj film which is a pro-SRK production house. Salman is the one who first put forward his hand of friendship to SRK after the fight at Katrina Kaif’s birthday.
