Salman follows Aamir and Shahrukh’s footsteps

Bollywood star Salman Khan for the first time will be seen in a moustache in his upcoming film Dabangg.

He will play the role of a corrupt cop in the film. This will not only be a different look for Sallu but also an image make-over. Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi is debuting with this film.

Before this, Aamir Khan sported a moustache in Mangal Pandey and Shah Rukh Khan did the same in Army, Paheli and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

Arbaaz Khan has invited Sonu Sood to step outside the shower and show his ripped body alongside Salman Khan’s in his first home production Dabangg.

The idea came after Arbaaz struggled to find a match to give the original six-pack star a takkar in the film.
Both Salman and Sonu are Biharis in the film, but Salman plays a corrupt cop, perhaps his first negative role. Their roles require them to speak with Bihari accents, which should be a challenge for Salman, he being notorious for an American twang in his dialogue delivery. Sonu, fortunately, had the bright idea of visiting his friend, Bihar’s infamous politician Pappu Yadav, for on-the-spot lessons.

Salman Khan will play a corrupt and fearless cop from Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming film Dabangg, which will mark Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi’s debut in Bollywood.

The film, which will have Salman mouthing a lot of UP slang, will also mark the debut of his brother, Arbaaz Khan, as a producer. Arbaaz also acts in the film to be helmed by Anurag Kashyap’s brother, Abhinav Kashyap.

Dabangg, which means bold, will feature Salman in a never before seen role and makeover, well outside the mould of the rich and stylish Prem.

The movie will have Sallu playing a corrupt and ill-mannered cop from UP. The actor will also mouth his dialogues in vernacular Hindi.

Even as Arbaaz Khan is troubled over his marital problems, Salman and Sohail Khan get ready to repeat their Maine Pyaar Kyon Kiya magic in Main Aur Mrs Khanna, a film to be directed by debutant Prem Soni.Kareena Kapoor will also star in it.

A romantic comedy, the film will be produced by UTV Spotboy Motion Pictures and Sohail Khan Productions. It will be shot in Australia, Mumbai and Dalhousie, and is expected to be completed by October. Music has been scored by Sajid Wajid.
