The 44-year-old actor caused a traffic jam in Connaught Place when he made an appearance at a theatre to promote his upcoming film accompanied by co-star Sonakshi Sinha and producer and brother Arbaaz Khan.

Some die-hard fans managed to get past the security into the press conference and Komal Sinha was among them.

Accompanied by her husband, she took to the mic during the press conference and requested the star for a chance to touch him.

The actor who was sporting his trademark tight T-shirt and jeans look, granted her wish but it lead to many others trying to get their hands on their idol and the actor’s security had to push them away.

Salman Khan, who was  promote his movie Dabangg, donated a sum of Rs 11 lakh to Sparsh Foundation, meant for needy children.

It was a huge surprise for Dr Sharan Shivaraj Patil, chairman and orthopaedic surgeon, Sparsh Hospital, when he received a call from Khan and was later handed over the cheque by him.

In October 2009, Khan had participated in ‘Sparsh Vachana,’ a programme of Sparsh Hospital for treatment of 200 children with physical deformities and had volunteered to help the children financially.

Salman is a great actor is anybody’s guess. That Salman is a great human being, is something that all the recipients of his affection will vouch for, so much so that Salman also has a NGO dedicated to the same cause called as ‘Being Human’.

Salman Khan will be seen in his element when he’ll judge a wrestling match on September 5. The actor will be accompanied by brothers Arbaaz and Sohail, co-star Sonakshi, Sonu Sood and Malaika Arora Khan.

In a bid to promote his upcoming film Dabangg where Salman’s character Chulbul Pandey wrestles criminals, he will attend a local wrestling match, Mid-day reported.

Buzz is that Salman is extremely excited about judging a wrestling match. A source told the tabloid, “Since kushti is an extremely popular sport in Nagpur, there would be a huge crowd for the event. Also with Salman being the celebrity judge, it would be a great way to kickstart the promotions.”

Not only will Salman judge the wrestling match, he will also interact with the crowd. He also plans on learning some wrestling tactics.

Salman plans to organise an exhibition of his latest paintings sometime next year. “I think I will have an exhibition sometime in February,” says
Khan. When prodded on the possible location, he jokes, “Not in Mumbai. Maybe in Paris somewhere?”

Arrangements are currently being made to finalise the gallery for his art exhibition in the city. The actor will also promote his NGO, Being Human Foundation, through his art-works.

That Khan is an avid painter is known to his fans. He had gifted actor Ranbir Kapoor a painting of his grandfather Raj Kapoor on his TV show Dus Ka Dum in 2008. But his recent present to friend and actor Aamir Khan — a picture perfect charcoal painting of Aamir’s character from Ghajini — drew everyone’s attention to his talent once again. Even the legendary artist MF Husain has praised Khan’s canvas skills.

While Aamir Khan had a general screening of Peepli Live for his other colleagues and friends earlier during the week, for the Big B and his parivar, Aamir had a special exclusive screening of Peepli Live on Thursday evening at Pixion to which only the Bachchans were invited.

Both Aamir and his wife Kiran were there to receive the Bachchans and watch the film with the mega-star.

After the show the Big B’s response to the film? “Superb!”

The fact that Aamir insisted in holding a special screening of the film exclusively for the Big B although Big B had offered to come for the screening earlier during the week with the rest of his colleagues, is significant in the light of the recent bonding between the Big B in Aamir.
